WebLogic Server 11g and 12c Configure SSL for a Managed Server

Web browser connects to WebLogic Server by supplying the SSL listen port and the HTTPs protocol in the connection URL, for example, https://ip:7002/console
Connect  to weblogic with Username / Password.

Weblogic server must be reachable, Node Manager Type = Plain make sure that each server has the SSL port enabled. You can find the setting “SSL Listen Port Enabled” for each server under “Configuration -> General”. Enable it and make sure you use a correct and free port.

Open console > Environment > Servers > open a managed server.

Be careful, Node Manager Type must be  “Plain”.

configure Weblogic for SSL, changing keystores.

Configuration -> Keystores
Custom Identity Keystore: /usr/java/jdk1.7.0_79/bin/***.jks ( Type .jks )
Custom Identity Keystore Type: jks
Custom Identity Keystore Passphrase: ***
Java Standard Trust Keystore Passphrase: ****

save it.

configure Weblogic for SSL, changing identity:

Configuration -> SSL

Private Key Alias: ***card
Private Key Passphrase: ***2805

save it.

Ssl and Server restart it.

Test your SSL configuration:

In another browser window or tab, access the URL:

https://server1:7002/console

https://server2:7002/console
